DIY Printable Nativity for Kids

I made a printable nativity set for kids, and the best part is, it's free! :-)

Materials Needed:
  • About 13 Toilet Paper Tubes*
  • Scissors
  • Glue Stick
  • Crayons
  • Printed Coloring Sheets

Directions for Completing Nativity Craft:
  • Print the Coloring Pages (links below)
  • Color with crayons
  • Cut out as indicated on the sheets
  • Glue around toilet paper tubes with glue stick. For most, just glue the bottom even with the bottom of the toilet paper tube and let the heads hang off the top. A few of the weird ones have directions below.

When gluing the angel, let her wings flap free where you cut them at the dotted line, and then curl them out slightly with your finger.

When gluing the empty stable, just glue each edge to a toilet paper tube half way around.

When gluing the palm tree, let the leaves you cut on the dotted line flap free so they stand out.

That's it! Now, here's the free printable sheets to get started on your nativity! :-)

Nativity Sheet 1 - Jesus in the manger and 2 camels

Nativity Sheet 2 - Mary and Joseph

Nativity Sheet 3 - Shepherd and a sheep

Nativity Sheet 4 - 2 Kings

Nativity Sheet 5 - 1 King and a Camel

Nativity Sheet 6 - Angel and a Donkey

Nativity Sheet 7 - A Sheep and a Palm Tree

Nativity Sheet 8 - Empty Stable

All printable coloring pages are my own artwork and are free for any not-for-profit use by individuals, families, or educational organizations. Copies may not be sold or reproduced for profit. If you'd like to post this project for others to find, I would ask that you link to my post and not my individual downloads. Thanks!

*If you don't have 13 toilet paper tubes, try using tubes from paper towels or gift wrap! :-) You could also consider leaving out some of the pieces.

  38. These are so cute. I've been looking all morning for a cute nativity that didn't have something strange like bugging out eyes. These are adorable. Thanks for sharing.

  39. Thanks so much for this printable. I had been looking for something that my toddler wouldn't break and I found this that my oldest could color. My plan is to find a shoebox big enough to fit the backdrop in, so that I can store the pieces in it. I will probably have my son color a piece or two a day and read the story about that piece. I think it's precious!
