Gifts of the Holy Spirit Teaching Tools

Pentecost is coming up on Sunday, which is a great time to learn about the Holy Spirit! You might also want to teach your kids about the holy spirit around a baptism, confirmation, or when studying the trinity! Here are some crafts to help teach your kids or class about the Gifts of the Holy Spirit:

Ten Kids and a Dog made this

On Catholic Mom, find a Gifts of the Holy Spirit
Just scroll down to "Holy Spirit".

There is one symbol for each gift, starting with

  1. Lacy, I LOVE the windsock.

I was just thinking: Wouldn't it be nice if all teachers from elementary Catholic Schools visited your site and used your art projects? I know I would have loved to have seen these projects come home with my boys when they were in Catholic school. We would have displayed them proudly.

I'm so glad we took the time and effort to do crafts together at the kitchen table--and videotaped us while doing them!! It was time well spent, and it's now a joy to watch the videos now that my guys are teenagers.

You really have something special here in your blog. Keep up the good work....when you have your hands free, that is. :-)God bless your work, Lacy.

  2. I LOVE the wind sock too! LOVE IT!

I also agree that all CCD teachers and Catholic schools should visit your site for crafts and activities. We must get the word out! The students will enjoy the activities and it will keep them busy and no discipline problems will result. :)

  6. I love this! I have been trying to figure out ways to explain the Holy Spirit to my 4 year old as she often asks during the Sign of the Cross. I agree, I have been more of a lurker, but no longer-I just had to say your work here, sharing it with us all, (especially us craft inept!) is so wonderful and we are so lucky! Thank you!

  8. LOVE the Holy Spirit game. My 6year old practiced reading skills,we all learned a lot, and it was cheap! P.S. My 6 year old said the end is heaven! And my husband said the last spot before heaven is like the evil tempting you (becaue you can't give up you have to keep roling a 1 to get into heaven). We played it using teeny tiny karate guys/toys for markers. Thanks for a wonderful idea and websit. LOVE This site

  11. It's truly very difficult in this busy life to listen news on TV, thus I only use world wide web for that reason, and obtain the most recent news.
