The idea is to make a simple Valentine by cutting out a heart from paper, and then decorating it with your chosen Bible verse or prayer. Then match it with a candy or treat that has a coordinating name, and use some double sticky tape to attach it! Be sure to stress the word that coordinates to your treat by drawing it in bold, making it bigger, or using a different color of marker. Here are some ideas I came up with:
Love and truth will meet; Justice and Peace will kiss. Psalm 85:10
(This bible verse I paired with a Hershey's Kiss)

Strengthen me with raisin cakes, refresh me with
apples, for I am faint with love. Song 2:5
(This one could be paired with apples or raisins.
Both would be healthy choices!)
The fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness,
generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, self control. Gal 5:22-23
(This has endless pairing possibilities. Real fruit,
Runts, Jujyfruits, or even those cheap strawberry candies.)

Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and
enkindle in them the fire of your love!
(This one is not a bible verse, but I do love this
prayer and think it goes great with a fire ball!)
No one has greater love than this, to lay down ones
life for a friend. John 15:13
(This bible verse goes nicely with a lifesavers candy.)
See how I love your precepts, Lord; in your kindness
give me life. Psalm 119:159
(This one also goes well with lifesavers.)
Fill us at day break with your love, that all
our days we may sing for joy. Psalm 90:14
(I put an Almond Joy with this bible verse.)
If you come up with any more clever pairings, let me know! Otherwise, enjoy these ideas. Hope some of you will find them useful :-)
