Holy Spirit Craft - Handprint Dove

Catholic ABC's Week: 13
Letter of the week: H
Theme: Holy Spirit
Saint of the Week: St. Helen
Craft: Holy Spirit Handprint Dove

As you all know, I love handprint crafts! For this one, start with a red piece of paper (the symbolic color for the Holy Spirit) and make a white handprint. Run glue up each finger (not the thumb) and attach a white feather. Add a yellow triangle beak and one googly eye- voila! A Holy Spirit Dove. The one above was made by my 4 year old daughter. The one below was made by my 2 year old son.

Grab Bag Ideas for the Letter Hh: (be sure to check out the Classroom Scriptfor directions on using the grab bag.) Horse, Hat, Hairbrush, Happy face, Hippo, Headband.

For More Resources, check out the Catholic Toolbox lesson plans for the Letter Hh. (Her Hh lesson is also on the Holy Spirit!)
Catholic ABC's

Catholic ABC's runs here at Catholic Icing every Wednesday with the new letter of the week. You can get the details of this program by checking out the Classroom Script. We will be taking a few weeks off from this at Christmas, but I decided to go ahead this week even with Thanksgiving. God bless!

Gifts of the Holy Spirit Teaching Tools

Pentecost is coming up on Sunday, which is a great time to learn about the Holy Spirit! You might also want to teach your kids about the holy spirit around a baptism, confirmation, or when studying the trinity! Here are some crafts to help teach your kids or class about the Gifts of the Holy Spirit:
